Janessa Anderson of Adventure Atlas has done a great job on putting together video for our range and fundraising. Attached is a lower quality version for use on our this website (we have limited upload space) But it is still great. Thanks to her talents, hard work this, footage and her still pictures, our continuing efforts to complete the new range have been much more successful. So if you might be in need of her type of artistic photography what she charges is quite reasonable for the great quality she provides. Thanks, Webmaster.
Attached are a couple of photos of the concept plan and where we are now. We are making progress and moving forward. Be looking for some video drone footage (still working on formatting) and information about our upcoming fund raiser in May.
Yes it is a little cold but the current range is great and quite accessible. We were shooting last Friday and only -1 degree.
We have received donated time and work from Evergreen Construction (Kasilof), Jon James Construction (Cooper Landing)and Metco (Seward) totaling $28,360! Here are some pictures of the work accomplished.
Huge thank you to the NRA Foundation for a check for $53,875 toward the second phase of building our new shooting facility in Cooper Landing near Dave’s Creek. Along with this grant we have also received donated time and work from Evergreen Construction (Kasilof), Jon James Construction (Cooper Landing)and Metco (Seward) totaling $28,360!!!!
Cooper Landing Friends of the NRA will be hosting another banquet at the Kenai Princess Wilderness Lodge on May 16th, 2020.
The NRA Foundation is helping making our new range a reality!
The Range is now open, go have some SAFE fun.
The Range will be closed tomorrow 9-5-19 and possibly longer as crews are working in the Cemetery and the surrounding area clearing brush. We will have to work open and closed times on a day by day basis. Please be patient and check our Facebook page also.
Due to the rain, containment of the fire and lack of smoke. We are opening the range as of Wednesday September 4th. The new lock is not on yet but be prepared as it will be shortly, by the 7th. Please be aware that there may be fire workers in the area.
With the fire still coming our way and fire crews working the Bean Creek trail we are CLOSING THE RANGE. The safety of the crew and due to lack of visibility, air quality, pending evacuations and such we feel it is only prudent to close the range. We will keep you posted when this will change and reopening the range is feasible.
