The drone video of the new range has been placed on the Gallery page for your fun to watch. We are hopping to be moved within the next year. There is still the road, power and moving the building to be done. Thank you , Laura, Chris, John and others for your continuing hard work.

Mark Ballenger will be conducting an “Introduction to Defensive Handgun” class May 6th from 8am to 6pm. The range will be closed at that time.

This is not a Cooper Landing Gun Club sponsored event.

The Cost of the Class is $50 and the requirements are:

Semi-Auto or revolver handgun, strong side holster, mag or speed loader holder , eye and hearing protection.

Its  the time of year that many of our agency users have begun begun their annual training and proficiency qualifications. These users are important to the Club as they rent the range and provide us with needed revenue.  Please be patient and respectful of their times and days.

The forest service is going to be conducting more training on the following dates. The range will be closed 8:00am  through 5:30 pm:

May 2;  May 18th, 19th, 22nd, 23rd, 24th and 25th.

The Forest service will be conducting training on Wednesday May 10th 2023 all day so the range will be closed until 5:30 pm.

Plans continue to move forward toward opening our new shooting range near Dave’s Creek (approx mile 39 Sterling Hwy). The club hopes to receive an easement from the State for our road access this fall and begin work before freeze up.  If plans stay on track, we may be able to move to the new range in 2023!  Our current range on Bean Creek Rd will continue to operate until the new range is open.  Due to legal matters etc, the new range is not to be used and is closed. Please do not shoot there and possibly jeopardize our progress.

Dear Cooper Landing Gun Club Members,

September is right around the corner.  It’s time to renew your membership to receive an updated gate key.  If you are a multi year member, a key will be automatically mailed to you.

We have increased our membership dues.  The new rates are $75 per year for a single or family membership, OR $200 for a 3 year membership. This cost increases reflects wear and tear on equipment, snow plowing costs and projected costs for the increased size of the new rage.

The Forest Service law enforcement division will be conducting training on Wednesday April 27 8am-5pm. The range will be closed till 5PM.

There will be funeral service Sunday April 24 from 12:00 till 2:00PM so there will be no shooting until after 2 please.

Mark Bellinger will be conducting a USCCA concealed carry course April 23, from 8 -5 in the classroom and April 24 from 1- 5ish or when finished on the range. The range will be open 4-23 but it will be closed for the classes range use the 24th.  If you are interested you will need to contact him directly as this is not a Cooper Landing Gun Club sponsored class.

The cost for the course is $150 per person.

Class equipment requirements are: Eye and Ear protection, Handgun of 9mm/38 special caliber or larger with 150 rounds of ammunition. Strong side outside the pants holster, mag pouch or speed loader pouch and heavy handgun belt.
